Service Dogs

The breed of dog TLCA will be training as Service Dogs are Australian Shepherds. The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent sensitive and in tuned to their owners with a medium to large size. Males average 50-65 lbs and females average 40-45 lbs. A fully grown and mature adult Australian Shepherd stands approximately 18-23 inches tall. Australian Shepherds are very good with children and tend to get along well with other pets. They have a very easy-going temperament, making them great family pets with amazing versatility and adaptability. Both young puppies and older puppies will be available.

TLCA will offer both purchasing a service dog or the option of raising funds through a foundation to be created in the near future. TLCA will be commencing a breeding program, to produce puppies raised as excellent quality service dogs. Additional information for receiving a service dog coming soon.

Dogs that are bred in our training programs go through extensive training and tests to ensure they will have a long a successful career as a Service Dog for their owners. They are carefully selected for temperament and health. These dogs are trained to peform tasks for anxiety and PTSD.

These dogs are trained and granted full public access and will have over 500 hours of training.

Therapy Dogs/Emotional Support Dogs

A very well trained companion dog with all the necessary training including basic life skills, an overall very well trained canine companions. However, therapy dogs or emotional support dogs are not trained service dogs.

These dogs will have less than 500 hour of training.
