Training Loyal Companions is pleased to offer Puppy PAWty Socialization and Off Leash Play Time for dogs of all ages and sizes!

Puppy PAWty and Socialization

Puppy Socialization PAWty's are designed to help eliminate puppy behavior problems right in the beginning stages, encourage proper play skills with other dogs, and education for clients on new puppy learning including consent testing in play and when to take play breaks.

We will start your Puppy Socialization PAWty off with introductions of our new friends and learn all about dog breeds. During this time clients are welcome to help their selves to coffee or tea and cookies!

There will be puppy off leash play time where we will learn all about dog play styles, interactive social play with puppies, exposure to new people and children. We will learn how where and when to pet puppies and proper ways to reward based on proper play skills.

We will play fun games of recall/come when called races, loose leash walking skills and encouraging four paws on the floor helping to decrease jumping behaviors, basic training of sit and down.

Information handouts on TLC group dog training classes using positive reinforcement training with end of fun dog treats to go home!

Off Leash Play

What is Off Leash Play?

It's time for your dog to come and play with other dogs off leash, like an indoor dog park! You MUST stay with your dog, interact with them with toys and clean up after any messes they make. Poop bags, and mop and bucket are all provided at the facility. Any age, any size!

Must be friendly with other dogs and people on and off leash. Off leash play time is not the right place to improve your dogs socialization skills, but for friendly dogs to make new friends!

There will be toys and water stations set up for your dogs.

There are amazing advantages to attending a supervised off leash play area for dogs:

  • Supervised by an experienced doggie attendant making sure that all dogs are playing well, and enforcing the 100% No Aggression Policy.
  • All dogs MUST be friendly with good social skills, helping to teach your dog good social skills and how to communicate with other dogs using their doggie language.
  • Teaches bite inhibition for young puppies (the respect of their jaws and teeth)
  • Great for exercise!
  • So much fun watching dogs play, will put a smile on your face to see them so happy!

Off Leash Play Time is excellent when:

  • Its too cold, too hot, too windy or too wet to walk your dog outside.
  • Your afraid to go to an Off Leash Park because your unsure if your dog will come when called and you are still working on this command.
  • Your too tired to walk your dog!
  • You have company coming over, want to watch the hockey game, need a relaxing evening and would like your dog to be tired.

Off leash play time is NOT suited for unfriendly dogs with people or other dogs, or dogs with unknown play behaviors.

2:00-3:00 pm is for small and shy/younger dogs.

3:00-5:00 pm all friendly dogs welcome! In this time spot you will find mostly higher energy bigger fur friends!

When will Of Leash Play Time on Sundays be offered?

2019

  • Sunday October 6, 20, 27.
  • Sunday November 3, 17 and 24.
  • Sunday December 1, 8, 15, 22.

2020

  • January 5, 12, 19 and 26
  • February 2, 9, 16 and 23
  • March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29
  • April 5, 19, 26

Check out our TLC Facebook Page for most recent updates and cancellations due to poor weather!

Please remember your vaccine certificates or paperwork showing your dog is up to date with vaccines including Distemper Vaccine and Kennel Cough/Bordetella Vaccine(optional) if you are new to TLC.

Please keep in mind that all dogs are required to be friendly with other dogs and people. If your dog is exhibiting behavior problems, private training or a phone consult is a great option on socialization and exposure with dogs.

Costs: ONLY $8.00 per dog! We accept cash and debit for payment.

Amazing play time with great friends!
